![]() Topic: Orange Lights in the skyPosted: 15 August 2010 at 6:46am |

Hello everyone, i'm 19 years old and come from a place called Head of muir in Scotland, last night i seen something i really can't think of what it might have been.
My brother was the first to see this happening, he was closing the curtains and blinds in the living room at about 10 minute to 10 pm he seen an orange light coming at the Bonnybridge location. we stay west of Bonnybridge in a place called Head Of Muir. i can't really say what he seen at first because i was in my room at the time, but my brother came up and told me to get my ass at the window with the lights off. We looked out our window at the top of the stairs and i seen these orange lights as well, they were moving really fast for whatever, they were also pulsing slightly, they came over pretty much over our house and darted off in Glasgows location, they were high up in the sky, i tried to record from my phone but it was too dark to pick up anything and my camera was in the attic, which is really a shame, and i'm not saying they might be other life beings or whatever, it could have been something else but i highly doubt it, my father gave me his binoculars and we looked out them and what i seen were 3 lights, with no binoculars they just looked like an orange light but with binoculars it was 3 lights, one at the top and 2 at the bottom. That freaked me enough as it is but they also had a pattern, when the first one vanished the second one came and so on, the last orange one we seen was big, i was recording a video at the time with my phone, i've still to check the footage, it made the clouds glow orange, my brother looked at it through his binoculars and said it was hexagonal shaped and he passed them to me but i was too frightened at the time to have a look, it was genuinely something i've never ever seen before, it was big and it went the same direction, but quickly became small and vanished like the rest, it could have just been closer to us, i really don't know. I just would like to know if there have been any sightings similar to this, and if there are any aircraft that i could be getting mixed up with, there was other aircraft in the sky but they were flashing and you could hear them, they were just small planes. About 15 minutes after seeing the last of the orange lights we moved outside, the whole family was out there and i seen countless amounts of white lights (like stars) moving very fast and very high in the sky they were a constant light, and weren't flashing like the normal aircraft we have around here and there was a plane in the sky at that time and these lights were going about 6 times faster than the plane was, one was also very close to hitting the plane by the looks of it, it could have been something else and my mother said that it could be something to do with the shooting stars but i've seen them before, there nothing like what i seen in the sky, they would stop for a while, then move off in another direction again, and then suddenly vanish like the orange ones did, but these ones were white. It was the orange ones that really freaked me out though, my brother was watching one vanish through the binoculars and i looked over to where they all came from and seen that big orange glow, like it was lighting the clouds up. I'd just like to know if there have been more sightings of these types of things before and if they could have been some raf aircraft and what not, i've always had an interest in ufo's and so has my brother, i've seen stuff before in the sky's that i thought were ufo's but nothing like those orange things, my brother who is 26 was as frightened as i was, and yet we've always got a good interest and belief in otherworld beings. I can say with some confidence that it doesn't seem like it could be anything else, i dont have any pictures of these lights because my phone (i tried 3 phones) was too dark to see anything, i've tried my best to describe what i seen and when i read over it, it sounds so darn stupid and unbelievable, but i really wouldn't be posting here if i never seen anything, i barely got sleep last night, and i'd also like to know how do you report these sightings ? and to who ? everyone in my family seen it last night, and i'm sure many others did too because the last orange ufo was bright and it made the cloud near it glow its colour as well. Hi Cogglesz, and Welcome to the Forum.
I've heard of sightings in Bonnybridge before... was a bit of a hot-spot for a while if I remember correctly. I'm sorry I can't be of help to you and the board is a bit quiet at the moment. But I'm sure it won't be long before Admin and some of the regulers are back and may be able to help identify what you and your family have witnessed. Damkina |

Hi Cogglesz,
I just found this through google, I live in Spain I was walking home from work around 8 days ago, and I also seen a constant white light move one side of the sky to the other, now usual thinking would have instantly made me think it was a plane.. but no blinking lights and for this light to be constant from when the object was coming towards where I was, and for it still to be constant when it past me and was moving away this is unlikely to be a plane... it looked too high in the sky to be a plane also.... the thing that caught me was when It was above my position it didnt look to be moving perfectly straight!! I have perfect 20-20 vision so my eyes werent playing tricks and Im 26 so old age isnt a factor.... I dont usually pay attention to things like this but I took a look to se if anyone wrote about anything similar and found your post.... I would like to add that the light I seen was for around 5 minutes from first sitting till it went too far away and was hidden by a mountain.. but the light had to be extremely powerful for it to be so bright and constant from front to back of whatever it was... mcrfc |

Hi mcrfc, Welcome to the forum.
Can you rule out the International Space Station? I love to go out and watch this as it arcs across the sky like a very bright star, and have been out watching it tonight. It can take about 5 minutes to go over your field of vision and appears to be similar to what you are describing. If it was the ISS the only thing puzzling is that you said it didn't appear to be moving straight whilst right above you. Take a look on the NASA site or the links to time sheets in the Science catagory to see if it tallys up with your sighting. Again, Welcome Damkina |
